Elise Cummings Greenberg

For nearly three decades, I have dedicated my professional life to the practice of family and dependency law. My journey began in Chicago, where I served as a voice for children in foster care. After moving to Los Angeles, I continued that work, representing children as they navigated DCFS and the dependency court system.

When I began my Los Angeles family law practice in 2004, I focused on representing children in high-conflict family law matters. Over the next twenty years, while continuing to accept minor’s counsel appointments and to defend parents in DCFS investigations, my practice evolved. I served as both litigation counsel and consulting counsel in family law matters involving disputes over custody, support, enforcement, reimbursements, fees, and the characterization and division of property.

In all of these roles, I have come to deeply understand that anyone going through a divorce—especially one involving a custody dispute—is experiencing one of life’s messiest and most difficult chapters. My goal is to use my expertise to guide you through these challenges with clarity, compassion, and a focus on resolving disputes so that you may redirect your attention, your emotions, and your finances toward designing the next stage of your life.
